Of course, if you want further information, or have any other questions you'd like to ask; please don't hesitate to get in touch.
How much does a website cost?
How long is a piece of string? Prices for a website vary wildly depending on the size and features included. Take this website as an example. Virtually all the graphics are custom made. This requires a tremendous amount of resources both in talent and time. We could use clip art, but then, so can anybody else! If you want to stand out from the competition, the value of unique images and a good graphic artist cannot be overstated.
That said, a website can be put together for a few thousand dollars and can rise to the hundreds of thousands. It all depends on what you want. You can go for a cheap look, but what does that say about your business?
How long does it take to complete a website?
This varies depending on the scope of the project. Usually, an average website takes about five weeks to complete. You have a part to play in this. The faster you provide us with the information (text and/or graphics), the faster the website can be completed.
Are you considering smart phones and Netbooks?
If requested we will program websites so that they can be formatted on small phone screens or netbooks.
Can you host my website?
Yes. Indeed, many of our clients prefer this service as their site can be updated quickly to reflect changes in business, contact details, etc. To help with this, 15 minutes a month of free update time is included in the price.
Do you outsource to the Far East?
There are certain advantages in outsourcing, mainly to do with keeping costs down. However, there are disadvantages:
- Cultural differences can cause problems in communication.
- Sometimes payments can be difficult to process, and it can be hard to win a dispute.
- If you’re based in North America, or even in Europe, then the time difference can be a real problem.
- You may feel you have a lack of control in how your website is put together.
- Because of the distance, you may be uncertain how the company you have chosen actually operates.
When did you start your business?
We started to design websites in 1998. Since then our business has grown as we keep adding new and relevant services. Also, our reputation for excellence in our field precedes us.
What do you think of Flash web design?
We love Flash, but iPhones and iPads don't! As of now, Apple refuses to support Flash technology. Because of this we think you should use Flash technology in moderation, especially as search engines have a hard time indexing such content. However, there's no denying how sexy a well-designed Flash page looks. We strike a balance between the two and use AS2/3 programming to inject functionality into web pages.
How long does it take to see SEO results?
SEO is a tricky business. Thousands, if not millions of competitors are competing for the top positions on search websites. True SEO/SEM work takes a tremendous amount of labor. We don't employ black hat or spam techniques. It can take from several weeks to a few months before SEO pays off. We pride ourselves on the results we achieve.
Is it important to bring ideas and concepts to the project?
Not necessarily. Some clients have a strong vision for their projects, whilst others are simply aware that they need to have a presence on the internet, but don't know where to start. Our first consultation is free. During this initial meeting we'll discuss your target audience and possible ideas for your project. Our strength is our creativity, we'll come up with suggestions you never imagined.
How do you go about designing a corporate image?
First, we look at your business and target audience. We then design in black and white to create the essentials of the image. We believe that a simple, clean design creates a memorable logo. The first draft of about ten ideas will be sent to you in PDF format. After receiving feedback, we narrow the images down as we work toward the final look.
